Artist
Miles Richardson

Miles Richardson is a British Romanticism artist. 3 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Miles Richardson painted coastal and castle scenes in watercolour, a tradition popular among British travellers in the 19th century. In 1843 he recorded Lochleven Castle in Scotland, its stone walls rising above the water, and a vessel stuck on the sand in Coast scene with a vessel aground. A later sheet shows The Sands at Bonchurch, Isle of Wight, a quiet stretch of shore. Tap Lochleven Castle to step into Richardson’s detailed view of Scottish history and shoreline.
