Artist

V. Plumner

V. Plumner is an Impressionism artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Vera Plummer spent her days dodging the camera—except when she didn’t. She preferred the stage to the studio, posing actors in flickering gaslight while they held their breath between lines. The Guy Little photos she made in the 1850s freeze those gasps mid-grin, so you can almost hear the echoes in the empty theatre. Scan the stage left doorway in one of those prints and you’ll spot her shadow still lingering in the wings.
