Artist

Alison Lambert

Alison Lambert is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Alison Lambert’s notebooks are full of lines that won’t sit still. The artist sketches on the go, tracing shapes that blur between city and sky, always half a step ahead of the paper. One sheet from 2014 shows a tower block caught between drawing and erasure—she calls it Iah, borrowing the Egyptian word for moon because “it keeps waning and waxing in my hand.” We include her here so you can zoom into that single drawing and watch the pencil chase its own tail.
