Following these protests, the estate owner Maria Papadopol donated the land to the state. A reconstruction of the house was completed in 1934, and the first memorial museum dedicated to the poet was inaugurated in 1940. This initial reconstruction did not respect the original structure and was subsequently demolished, leading to a new, historically accurate reconstruction completed in 1979.

Additionally, the complex features the 'Horia Bernea' temporary exhibition hall and an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity of 600 seats.
