Artist
Alexander Fraser

d. 1841
Alexander Fraser was a British Romanticism artist. 7 works are cataloged here, principally at National Galleries Scotland.
Scottish painter Alexander Fraser put brush to canvas in the 1860s and 1870s, mostly in Aberdeen. He liked quiet woods, farm fences, and everyday country scenes. Two of his oils here are A Glade in Cadzow Forest (1862) and A Sheepfold, Haslemere (1868), both calm glimpses of trees and animals. Want to step into another Fraser scene? Tap into Atholl, his broad Highland view.
