Artist

Arthur T. Bolton

Arthur T. Bolton is an Impressionism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Arthur Bolton spent his days sketching London’s overlooked corners—gas-lamp alleys, backstage theatre nooks—where most people never looked. He once drew a whole street scene from memory after one quick walk, as if the city’s details had stuck to him. He belongs in Gallery Tiles because his 1893 Untitled drawing lets you trace the soot-stained bricks and flickering gaslight in real time; zoom in and you’ll swear you’re standing there with him.
