Hippolyte de Bourg d' Orschwillier
Hippolyte de Bourg d' Orschwillier is an Orientalism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
French watercolorist in the mid-1800s who painted scenes from a journey to Egypt. His 1845–50 study titled “à Minieh, Egypte” shows a quiet Nile riverside view with boats and palm groves. The sheet’s soft washes and delicate line capture the light and dust of a specific moment. Look closer and you’ll spot the texture of the paper and a faint horizon line anchoring the scene.
