Geifster, C.

Geifster, C. is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This Dutch printmaker spent mornings sketching cows in the meadows near Utrecht, then spent afternoons carving the same cows into walnut blocks—thick lines, shallow shadows, like the animals were made of dough. He never signed his prints, but the neighbor cows recognized his work. In *The Peat Boat* from his H Beard collection, a single shadow stretches across the river while two figures push a laden boat with a quiet rhythm you can almost hear.
