Master of the Brussels Epiphany

Master of the Brussels Epiphany is an Early Baroque Italian artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.

This artist painted bold, colorful scenes of the Nativity and the Three Wise Men visiting baby Jesus. Their work survives in a three-panel altarpiece: one panel shows Mary with baby Jesus, another shows the kings arriving with gifts, and the third shows the holy family resting on the road. The faces and fabrics are richly detailed. Look closely at the gold crowns and blue robes—typical of the 1500s. Want to see more panels like these? Try the left panel titled Nativity.
