Gheorghe FocGheorghe

Gheorghe FocGheorghe is a Realism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at "Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum.

Gheorghe FocGheorghe made things people use in villages: woven wall hangings, carved wooden decorations, metal pots, and restored old churches. In 1964 they wove “Casă nouă, com. Runcu, jud. Gorj” and hammered “Meșteșuguri. Olărit, județul Gorj, 1960” from metal. The pieces show how crafts kept homes and traditions alive in 1960s Romania. Tap “Secvențe din Muzeul Satului - lucrări de restaurare la Biserica Dragomirești, jud. Maramureș” to see another rescued wooden church door.
