Dora Wahlroos

Dora Wahlroos is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Finnish National Gallery.

Dora Wahlroos kept a studio door in Paris that never quite shut—she painted through the afternoons and hammered metal in the evenings, as though daylight and dusk were two sides of the same coin. One winter she turned her own face into a metal relief so spare it looks like it could bend in the wind. That piece, *Omakuva*, is the perfect door into her world: small enough to hold, heavy enough to feel, and made by an artist who refused to pick just one material.
