Conly

Conly is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Conly snapped photos like a stage manager catching actors mid-monologue—always one step ahead, always in the exact right light. The guy could make a top hat look like a secret. One of his shots, *Guy Little Theatrical Photograph*, freezes a performer in a posture that looks borrowed from a silent film still, except it’s 1898 and no film exists yet. If you stand close to that print, you’ll notice the lace on the glove is slightly blurred—Conly’s way of saying grace to the moment.
