Josef Hoffmann

Josef Hoffmann worked in Vienna at the turn of the 20th century, designing chairs, cabinets, and silver pieces with clean lines and square joints. In 1886 he etched a Self-portrait that shows the same spare geometry he later brought to furniture and metalwork.
