Artist
G. Vogiatzis

G. Vogiatzis is an Art Brut artist. 4 works are cataloged here, principally at Athens School of Fine Arts.
Greek artist G. Vogiatzis made bold metal sculptures and thickly painted scenes in the late 1950s and early 1960s. In Arimanthias (1960) he welded steel into sharp, angular shapes that catch the light. Trimorphon and Great Martyrs show muscular figures in dramatic poses, while Duel of Hector and Achilles reimagines Homer’s fight with thick, expressive brushstrokes. Tap Detail (1960) to step inside this charged world of heroic gestures and tactile metal.
