Frans Constantin Lohm

Frans Constantin Lohm is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Helsinki City Museum.

Frans Constantin Lohm drew Helsinki’s harbor in the 1800s. One sheet in our bundle, “Näkymä Valkosaarelta Eteläsatamaan,” shows the South Harbor as seen from a small island called Valkosaari. Like many city views of the time, it mixes careful linework with soft shading to capture ships, buildings, and the water. Scan this drawing to step from the gallery straight onto an old wooden pier.
