Michel Vincent Brandoin

Michel Vincent Brandoin is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

A Swiss artist working in watercolour during the late 1700s, Michelle Vincent Brandoin painted scenes from everyday life and landmark views. He left two small-scale works: A Swiss Farmhouse, a quiet building with timber beams and rolling pastures, and The Castle of Chillon, a grey fortress hugging a dark lake in the Alps. Both sheets show delicate washes and careful linework typical of the period’s topographical drawing. Tap The Castle of Chillon to step inside its medieval halls through a later painting of the same site.
