Ștefan Dumitrescu

Ștefan Dumitrescu is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Art Museum of Constanta.

Ștefan Dumitrescu painted quiet landscapes and self-portraits in the 1920s. His “Peisaj din Balcic” shows the Black Sea shore near Balcic, Bulgaria, with low cliffs and sparse vegetation bathed in northern light. The small “Autoportret” (1928) captures him in a dark suit against a plain background, the year etched in the lower corner. Both works sit in an understated realist mode that favors honest detail over drama. Tap “Autoportret” to zoom in on the brushwork and date stamp, or explore the Black Sea coast in “Peisaj din Balcic.”
