Viorescu Leon made quiet, sharply observed prints of the Romanian countryside in the early 20th century. Their two prints here—a lake view titled Peisaj cu lac and a still life called Natură moartă—show sunlit edges of water and fruit baskets reduced to simple, confident lines. The lake shimmers just beyond a stand of birches; the still life balances plums and a glass against a plain wall. Lean in and you can feel the morning chill in the prints.
