Mischiu Dumitru

Mischiu Dumitru made bold, geometric ceramics and prints in the mid-20th-century folk style. Their ceramic vase has a wide, straight rim with V-shaped handles, decorated inside and out with looping lines, dots, and floral patterns in red, green, and orange on a brown or brick-red background. The print “Fond tronconic” shows a similar vase with a spiral and zig-zag bands. Both pieces use earthy colors and sharp shapes to create rhythm and movement.
