Mihai Bandac

Mihai Bandac carried a pocket sketchbook wherever he went, filling it with quick ink lines of rain on cobblestones or the way lamplight puddled on wet leaves. He never sold a painting while alive, but traded each one straight from his easel for bread or bus fare across Bucharest in the 1980s.
