Seppo Konstig spent years painting the same Finnish manor halls—over and over, like he was memorizing the way light fell on the wallpaper. He kept a small studio near the Laukon manor, where he’d sketch the grand staircase before dinner, then return the next afternoon to tweak the shadows. The manor’s dining room still holds his biggest surviving piece, a life-size mural that makes you feel like you’ve walked into a 1920s dinner party. His work sits quietly in books like *Didrichsenin taidemuseo*, where you can flip through pages to see his brushstrokes freeze everyday spaces in time.
