Carol Storck

Carol Storck is an Impressionism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Bucharest Municipality Museum.

Carol Storck worked in late-19th- and early-20th-century Bucharest, where he specialized in portrait prints and small sculptures. His 1882 print Iulia Săulescu shows a woman in a high-necked dress viewed from the side, the delicate shading lifted straight from the photogravure plates then in vogue. If you want to see how this style crossed into three dimensions, tap into the same room where his marble busts sit beside the print.
