Artist
Julian Trevelyan
Julian Trevelyan is a Contemporary Abstract artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Julian Trevelyan made prints and watercolors of ports and harbors, often in layered prints or translucent washes. In 1946 he produced the etching “Harbour,” showing nets, boats and warehouses in a muted palette. Twenty years later he painted the crumbling quays and honey-colored stone of “Malta,” its watercolor strokes letting the paper breathe. Both works sit in the same archive, letting you slide between dry print and wet brush in seconds. Tap Malta to see how the island’s shadows run across the page.
