Anthony Gregory Niquet

Anthony Gregory Niquet is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Anthony Gregory Niquet kept a tiny Paris apartment so cluttered with prints and inks that visitors could barely squeeze past the stacks to the windows. He spent years carving religious scenes into copper plates, then spent equal time erasing the proofs when the bishop frowned at the way light fell on a shoulder. Look up *The Taking Down from the Cross*—the print’s gray shadows feel cool against the warm copper, like someone left the plate out overnight. Gallery Tiles keeps his work close so you can trace how a single line can soften marble into skin.
