Gheorghe Vânătoru is a Romanesque artist. 6 works are cataloged here, principally at National Museum of Art of Romania.

Gheorghe Vânătoru’s small still lifes and quiet portraits sit between the two world wars, where everyday objects became small worlds of their own. In 1946 he painted a calm Portret de femeie, and two years earlier a glass panel called Două vase cu flori held light as carefully as a held breath. His prints like Natură statică cu vioară show the same hushed care, keeping the era’s realism close to the tabletop. Step from these domestic scenes straight into the next tile—his 1941 Natură statică print.
