Artist

Hopwood

Hopwood is a Post-Impressionism artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This 19th–20th century artist left watercolors, prints, and sculpture behind in small numbers. Two clear examples sit here: the 1908 watercolor “The Butter Market, Montreuil” shows a Paris suburb’s daily hustle in soft washes, and the 1811 print “Mrs Liston” captures a sitter’s lace collar in crisp etched lines. Samuel Wright’s carved portrait bust adds a three-dimensional slice. Want to step into the scene? Tap “The Butter Market, Montreuil” and wander the cobbled square.
