Feur Gheorghe

Feur Gheorghe is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at "Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum.

Gheorghe Feur didn’t sign his name on the back—he left the work to speak for itself. His late-period icons from Nicula-Gherla show a quiet rebellion: the faces are round and clumsy, the beards too heavy, the Christ’s body oddly graceful, like a dancer who forgot to bow. The colors fight the drawing—reds fade into greens, yellow earth clashes with browns—because Feur trusted the paint to settle the score. See the crack in the left corner of his “Crucifixion on Glass” and you’re holding a century of wear.
