Ileana Micodin

Ileana Micodin made prints, carvings, and paintings that quietly map the Romanian landscape. Their woodcut Țărm shows a shore’s edge reduced to rough lines and flat color, while the sculpture Plaur vechi arranges twisted branches into a single, weathered form. In the painting Mlaștina 3, muted greens and ochres blur the line between water and sky. These small, uncluttered works stick to the territory they know—lakes, reeds, and forgotten corners of the land.
