Master of the King Solomon Triptych

Portrait of Master of the King Solomon Triptych

Master of the King Solomon Triptych is an Early Baroque Italian artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Mauritshuis.

A Dutch painter active around the early 1500s, this anonymous artist made vivid, multi-panel religious scenes. Their Triptych with the Life Story of Solomon (1521) shows Solomon’s story in bright oil colors across three hinged panels. Flip open the center to see the king’s judgment scene, framed by lively crowds and rich fabrics. Next, zoom into the left panel to spot Solomon receiving the queen of Sheba.
