Monda Ioana made this decorated ceramic plate in 1961, painting communist symbols—hammer and sickle, three stars, four flags—in yellow-ochre and light brown on a white slip-covered surface. The rim carries the initials P.M.P. and R.P.R., and you can still read the handwritten date 13 March 1961 and the artist’s name near the center. The whole piece was finally glazed clear.
