Artist
Haubenschmid Α.

Haubenschmid Α. is a Biedermeier artist. 4 works are cataloged here, principally at Historical & Ethnological Society of Greece.
This painter loved Greek ports too much to stay indoors—sketches in hand, they wandered docks from Paros to Patras in the 1830s, painting every sail and stone twice. That year, they stood on a Nafplio hillside and turned a view of Arvanitia into one of those seascapes that make you smell salt. The works belong here because they’re your ticket to a forgotten corner of early Greek art; look up “H港口帕特雷” and you’ll see what they packed into one harbor scene.
