Artist
George Henry Benton Fletcher

George Henry Benton Fletcher is an Orientalism artist. 3 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
George Henry Benton Fletcher painted watercolours of ancient Egyptian and Middle Eastern sites in the early 1900s. In 1913 he copied a low relief of Seti I from the Great Temple at Abydos, and later captured the Dome of the Rock from the Mount of Olives in 1922. His brush follows the monument’s sharp lines and warm desert light. If these desert views feel distant, tap Pyramids At Sunset to step closer to the sand and stone.
