Aurel Ciupe is an artist. 8 works are cataloged here, principally at Brukenthal National Museum.

Aurel Ciupe made quiet, warm-toned paintings and prints of Romanian life in the mid-1900s. In “Stânjenei” you can almost smell the late-afternoon shadows on the riverbank, while “Țărancă din Sic” shows a woman’s hands guiding a wooden rake across sunlit earth. Blue vases full of tulips appear in “Lalele în vază albastră,” and a Danube delta house stands beside reeds in “Casă de la Tulcea.” Tap “Casă de la Tulcea” to step inside a room where light slants across a simple wooden table.
