Oskar Conrad Kleineh

Oskar Conrad Kleineh is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Helsinki City Museum.

Oskar Conrad Kleineh made pencil drawings of Helsinki’s shoreline and islands in the early 1900s. His two works in this set show the wooden rafts that once floated logs to the city’s mills, captured in delicate black lines against calm water. You’ll see the names Halkojaala and Hanasaari among the drawings—look for the way the graphite picks up light on the water. Tap either drawing to zoom in on the buildings and piers in the distance.
