Simó Ferenc de Kissolymossy

Simó Ferenc de Kissolymossy is a Biedermeier artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Museum of Art Cluj-Napoca.

Ferenc de Kissolymossy spent his life in the small town of Sombor, where he painted local shopkeepers, farmers, and the occasional dignitary with the same steady gaze. He didn’t chase trends or move to big cities—he just kept painting the people he knew for fifty years. If you want to see the man behind the brush, look at Sombori Eszter from 1832, where a woman in a dark dress and white apron holds a basket of plums like she’s just stepped out of her own doorway.
