Ernest Russell Ashton
Ernest Russell Ashton is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Ernest Ashton carried a tiny camera everywhere, snapping black-and-white photos like postcards—each one a quick hello to the world. He shot Burgos in 1929, catching a lone figure hurrying across the plaza in crisp morning light. Then Venice the next year, where his lens flattened the canals into shimmering ribbons and the pigeons looked like ink blots.
