Lupu Ana

Lupu Ana is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at "Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum.

Ana Lupu painted religious scenes on the backs of glass panels, a tradition from the Lancrăm region. In Icoana îî redă pe sfinții Ioan Botezătorul și Haralambie, she shows John the Baptist with wings and a severed head on a platter, paired with Saint Haralambie in bishop’s robes. Her second icon places Constantine and Helena beside a trefoil cross on Golgotha, their faces framed by dark glows and silvered glass backgrounds. Both works use thick outlines and bold colors like green, black, and red. Tap Icoana Sfântul Nicolae to see another of her throne-bound saints dressed in gold and black.
