Geza Nagy

Geza Nagy is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Gavrila Simion Eco-Museum Research Institute Tulcea.

Geza Nagy kept himself to himself in a cluttered Budapest attic where daylight slanted through a single skylight. Every afternoon he painted the same peach on his windowsill, layering colors until the fruit looked ready to roll off the canvas. Why a peach? Because it stayed put, he said, while everything else kept changing. In *Metamorfoze* you can watch the skin split and soften hour by hour; find the work in the Hungarian National Gallery’s digital archive and zoom in on the cracks—each one is a tiny date stamp of his quiet obsession.
