Popovici Petre

Romanian printmaker and painter Popovici Petre made quiet scenes of water and village life. His 1970 linocut “Noapte în deltă” shows moonlit reeds and a single boat silhouette on the Danube Delta, while the oil “Sat III” captures low wooden houses under a flat sky. Another print, “Peisaj,” prints layered fields in muted greens and ochres. He built these works in the 1960s–70s, printing many by hand in small batches.
