About this work

Overview

Untitled is a mixed-media drawing by Thomas Scheibitz, created in 2001. It combines watercolor, pencil, and felt-tip pen on paper.

Subject & Meaning

The drawing depicts a dark base supporting three tall, white columns, with a blue sky above featuring wavy edges. Diagonal blue lines intersect in the center, and a red rectangle is positioned on the right. The simple, flat colors lack shading, presenting a straightforward composition.

Technique & Style

Scheibitz employed a range of media, including watercolor, pencil, and markers. The watercolor technique used for the blue sky resulted in soft, wet edges, while the dark base is rendered smoothly and solidly.
