Artist
William England

William England is an Impressionism artist. 6 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
William England carried a stereo camera everywhere, snapping the 1862 London world’s fair in 3D photos so people could step right into the crowds, glass domes, and medieval carvings. He froze entire galleries in one shot—cameras back then couldn’t move fast enough, so he set up for minutes while visitors froze too. His pictures let you tilt your head and feel the scale of the Crystal Palace without leaving your chair. Find the stereoscopic view of the Mediaeval Court and you’ll see knights’ shields catching the light just like they did 160 years ago.
