Created after Genoels’ extensive travels through Paris, Rome and his native Antwerp, the painting reflects the influence of his Italian and French experiences. It entered the collection of Denmark’s national gallery, Statens Museum for Kunst, where it remains on display as part of their Baroque holdings.
