The portrait entered the National Museum in Kraków’s collection, where it remains on display. Its provenance traces back to the late eighteenth‑century Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, reflecting the artist’s activity in the region after relocating from Italy and his role as a court painter for the Polish elite.

Bacciarelli, an Italian expatriate, worked extensively for the Polish aristocracy during a period of cultural exchange between Western Europe and the Commonwealth.
