Artist
Imre Nagy

Imre Nagy is an Art Brut artist. 13 works are cataloged here, principally at Székely National Museum.
Hungarian painter Imre Nagy made everyday scenes feel real and warm in the 1900s. In *Culesul sfeclei* (1930) he shows people pulling beets from the soil, their hands worn and the air dusty. *Culegători de cartofi* (1966) follows the same quiet rhythm: bent backs, baskets filling with potatoes, the light soft over fields. Tap *Fata la oglindă* (1960) to see a girl smoothing her hair in a small mirror, the room glowing around her.
