A watercolour drawing titled *Le Sphinx* by Isidore Justin Séverin Taylor depicts the Great Sphinx of Giza. Created around 1830, the work reflects the broader documentation of Taylor’s travels in the Middle East, later published in his 1839 volume *La Syrie, l'Égypte, La Palestine et la Judée*. The drawing was engraved by Finden after a version by Dauzats, while its provenance includes ownership by the Duc de Montpensier before passing through later collections.
