This engraving by Nicholas Dorigny depicts the biblical scene in which Saints Peter and John heal a lame man at the Beautiful Gate of the Jerusalem Temple. The composition shows the beggar rising to walk as the apostles offer their aid, with spiral columns in the background modeled after those in St Peter’s Basilica.
